Osias Named to SEC Softball Community Service Team

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Ole Miss softball senior pitcher Madi Osias has been named to the SEC Softball Community Service Team, the league announced Wednesday morning.
The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 21 league sponsored sports. The team looks to highlight a student-athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
Osias has been a key member of the Oxford community in her time as a Rebel, participating in multiple events that served multiple causes.
She participated in Trick or Trunk, the Rebels' annual event providing treats and learning materials to children. In Reading with the Rebels, she was a frequent visitor to area schools reading to classes, visiting with children for one-on-one reading time and leading group discussions.
The Tustin, California native has also worked with More Than A Meal, serving the people of Oxford with good meals, encouragement, and providing a community feel to those in need. She also assisted with individuals at the North Mississippi Regional Center, one of six comprehensive regional centers in Mississippi that provides an array of services to individuals with intellectual and related developmental disabilities in the northern 23 counties of the state.
She is also active on her own campus serving as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
