OXFORD, Miss. - After dominating efforts, Ole Miss Softball senior Madi Osias has been named SEC Pitcher of the Week, and Kylan Becker has been named SEC Freshman of the Week for the period ending May 1, the league office announced Monday.

Osias earns the second weekly award of her career, while Becker tabbed her first weekly honor, becoming the first Rebel to win Freshman of the Week since Haley Culley on March 4, 2013.

The senior became the Rebels' single-season wins leader this past week, picking up wins No. 18 and 19 in the circle. In both of her appearances, she went the distance, pitching two shutouts with just seven combined hits allowed, holding opponents to just a .152 average.

In Wednesday's midweek tilt vs. UAB, Osias allowed just two hits, struck out five and only walked two to lead the Rebels to a 5-0 shutout. In the middle game of the series at No. 14 Georgia, she stymied the Bulldogs' power-hitting club, working eight strikeouts - her fourth time this season with at least eight - punching out six of the nine hitters in the Bulldogs' lineup at least once to hand Georgia its first shutout of 2016.

Becker went 7-for-8 (.875) with two RBI against UAB and No. 14 Georgia. In the win over UAB, she posted one of the Rebels' three triples, helping tie the school record for triples in a game. After going 2-for-2 in the opener against Georgia, Becker came back in games two and three with two clutch RBI.

In the middle game in Athens, she recorded an RBI double for the only run that gave the Rebels their first win over Georgia since 2003. Becker came back in the finale to also drive in the first run off an RBI single, finishing 2-for-2 in that contest. She also recorded a sacrifice bunt that led to another run. Overall, Becker finished the week with a 1.250 slugging mark and an on-base percentage of .900, raising her average by 40 points to .320 on the year.

Becker and Osias lead the Rebels into their final midweek game of the year, set for Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Ruston, La. against Louisiana Tech.
