OXFORD, Miss. - Former Ole Miss softball standout Madi Osias has signed a contract with the Pennsylvania Rebellion of the National Pro Fastpitch League, the organization announced Tuesday.

"I'm really excited to be a part of the Rebellion and to have this opportunity to continue my softball career," Osias said. "I absolutely could not have gotten here without the support and love of my family, coaches and teammates at Ole Miss."

The 2016 season marks the second-straight year a Rebel has gone on to play in the NPF after former star RT Cantillo spent two seasons with the Chicago Bandits in 2014 and 2015.

"We're very excited for Madi to extend her softball career at the professional level," head coach Mike Smith said. "She deserves this opportunity and I know she is going to compete each time her number is called to pitch in the circle. We're proud of Madi and excited to have another Rebel in the NPF."

Osias, who just recently capped off her impressive four-year career at Ole Miss, enters the professional softball ranks with a multitude of accolades to her credit.

The Tustin, California native finished her career ranked in the top-10 in eight major pitching categories, including wins (40), strikeouts (299), shutouts (6), innings pitched (425.0), appearances (115), starts (65), opponent batting average (.253) and saves (7).

She became the Rebels' all-time saves leader this past spring, and ranks tied for third in all-time wins, seventh in strikeouts, ninth in shutouts, sixth in innings pitched, third in appearances, sixth in starts and eighth in opponent batting average.

Osias was a Third Team selection to the NFCA All-South Region Team, shattering the Ole Miss single season wins record with 23 victories in 37 appearances. She totaled 13 complete games and five shutouts, tied for third most in a season, and finished with 137 strikeouts, eighth most of any Rebel pitcher in a season.

Her .213 opponent batting average was third-best of any pitcher in program history, and she also shattered the record for consecutive wins with 12 from Feb. 13 to March 18. More of Osias' major accomplishments in 2016 are listed below.

  • Ranked 25th in the NCAA and tied for fourth in the SEC in wins (23)

  • Went the distance in nine of her last 11 outings including a 321-pitch effort in the NCAA Regional
