Several Rebels Earn Preseason Rankings

OXFORD, Miss.
- The Ole Miss women's tennis team's fall collegiate season starts next weekend. On Tuesday, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the preseason singles and doubles rankings as well as the All American Championship selections.

Oracle/ITA Rankings
The Rebels are well-represented in the preseason rankings. Junior All-American Arianne Hartono leads the Rebels, ranked No. 17 in singles after an outstanding sophomore year. The Meppel, Netherlands native, finished the 2016 season with a 22-14 overall record, reached the NCAA round of 16 and earned All-SEC second team honors. Junior Natalie Suk begins the year ranked No. 51. She finished last season with an overall 16-15 record. Sophomore Tea Jandric finished her freshman season with a 15-11 overall record, and will begin her sophomore season ranked No. 81. Sophomore Allie Sanford is ranked No. 124 in singles. Hartono and Tereza Janatova earned a preseason ranking of No. 46 in doubles.

ITA All-American Selections
Four members of the team will compete in the year's first major, the Riviera All-American Championships which takes place Oct 1-10 in Pacific Palisades, California. Arianne Hartono earned a main draw bid, while Natalie Suk earned a qualifying bid in singles. Tea Jandric received a bid to begin play in the prequalifying tournament but is an alternate for qualifying. In doubles, Hartono and Tereza Janatova are alternates for qualifying.

Fall season kicks off next weekend
The Rebels will begin fall competition next weekend at the NC State Invitational with all nine players going to Raleigh.
