Quick hits
• Ole Miss dropped both its SEC matches last weekend, losing to No. 6 Florida 3-1 (26-24, 12-25, 16-25, 15-25) at home on Friday night and then falling to Missouri 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 26-24) on the road Sunday.

• Lexi Thompson is making her way up the Ole Miss charts. With 24 kills this past weekend, she moved into 10th all-time with 793. With 719 career digs, Thompson needs just 39 to move into the top 10 at Ole Miss.

• Aubrey Edie recorded her 4,000th career assist in the win over Tennessee State and now has 4,171. She ranks fourth in the SEC with 10.73 assists per set.

• Taylor Alexander ranks fourth in the SEC with a .381 attack percentage and 15th in blocks per set at 1.02.

• Kate Gibson ranks eighth in the SEC with 3.68 kills per set and ninth in points per set at 4.07. Lexi Thompson ranks 10th in kills per set at 3.33 and 11th in points per set at 3.83. She also leads the SEC in double-doubles with 10. Gibson is tied for third with seven double-doubles.

Scouting Arkansas
Arkansas comes into the weekend at 3-10 overall and 1-0 in the SEC. The Razorbacks are coming off a 3-0 win at LSU last weekend and hosts Missouri Friday before coming to Oxford. Senior outside hitter Danielle Harbin leads Arkansas and ranks third in the SEC with 4.00 kills per set. Senior middle blocker Breana Jones ranks 11th in the SEC and leads Arkansas with 1.09 blocks per set.

Rebels vs. Razorbacks
Arkansas leads the overall series 29-11, but the Rebels have won two straight in the series. In the first meeting last year (Oct. 18) in Fayetteville Ole Miss escaped with a thrilling 3-2 victory, and then the Rebels handed the Razorbacks a 3-1 loss in Oxford on Nov. 6.

Back where I come from
Sunday's match will mark the final one against Arkansas for Fayetteville native and Rebel senior setter Aubrey Edie. Edie was a three-year varsity starter at Fayetteville High School, where she earned All-State honors while helping lead the team to a state title as a senior.

A sweet homecoming
Aubrey Edie's first two trips back home with the Rebels resulted in losses, but her final trip home with the Rebels in 2015 will go down as a classic. With the Rebels up 14-13 in the fifth set, Edie won the joust at the net to hand her team a 3-2 win and snap a six-match losing streak to the Razorbacks. Edie passed out 51 assists and chipped in seven kills, including the match-clincher. She also had six digs and three blocks. In the second meeting on Nov. 6, 2015, Edie posted a double-double of 47 assists and 15 digs to pace the Rebels to a season sweep of Arkansas for the first time since 2009.

Quoting Coach McRoberts
"We have had a full week to prepare for Arkansas. It's been good to have an entire week on the court to work on things and get better. We want to encourage everyone to come out and help us have that home court advantage as we seek our first SEC win of the season and third straight against the Razorbacks."
