Oracle/ITA Team Rankings | Singles | Doubles

OXFORD, Miss. -
With the 2017 season only five days away for the Ole Miss men's tennis team, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the latest Oracle/ITA Rankings for team, singles and doubles Wednesday. The Rebels are receiving votes in the first Top 25 team ranking, and several Rebels are among the singles and doubles rankings.

Rebels and the team rankings…
In the first team ranking of the year, the Rebels are one of eight teams receiving votes in the Top 25. The Rebels will face at least seven teams in the Top 25 and two receiving votes with the potential to square off against more top teams should they advance to the National Team Indoor.

Hansson moves up in singles…
In the individual rankings, junior All-American Gustav Hansson moved up four spots to No. 14 after going 7-3 in the fall and reaching the third round of the All-American Championships and the second round of the National Indoor. Making his debut in the singles rankings is freshman Tim Sandkaulen, who posted a team-high nine wins in the fall and enters at No. 83.

Rebels everywhere in doubles…
All three of Ole Miss' doubles teams landed in the latest doubles rankings led by Fabian Fallert and Grey Hamilton at No. 13. The pair had an outstanding fall, winning the ITA Southern Regional to qualify for the National Indoor and finishing with a 5-2 record. Filip Kraljevic and Zvonimir Babic are ranked No. 40, while the first-time duo of Hansson and Sandkaulen are ranked No. 57.

The Rebels open the season Jan. 9-11 at the Rainbow Warrior Classic in Hawaii, followed by a dual match against Hawaii on Jan. 14. Check back Friday for a season preview with thoughts from head coach Toby Hansson.
