INDIAN WELLS, Calif. - A great week for senior Arianne Hartono and sophomore Alexa Bortles ended with the duo coming up short of winning the title at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships Sunday.

The pair lost to Stanford's Emily Arbuthnott and Michaela Gordon 6-4, 6-1 to conclude the fall at 8-4.

Bortles served first to start the match but the Stanford duo broke right away and held the rest of the way to take the early momentum. Hartono served to begin the second set, but she was broken as well, and the Stanford duo never looked back, building a 4-0 lead on their way to the second set and the title.
