OXFORD, Miss. â€" While the current Ole Miss men's tennis team was in Chapel Hill, North Carolina this past weekend, a couple of Rebel alums were making headlines in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt.

On Saturday, Rebel All-Americans Jonas Lutjen and Nik Scholtz teamed up to win their first professional title together, defeating the Swedish pair of Markus Eriksson and Milos Sekulic 6-2, 2-6, 11-9. The duo trailed in the third set tiebreaker and then saved a match point. It marked the fifth doubles title for Lutjen and the 10th for Scholtz, who has won seven titles with fellow Rebel alum, Tucker Vorster.

Lutjen followed up the doubles title by winning the singles on Sunday for the second double of his career. Last year he won the singles and doubles titles in Vero Beach, Florida.

Two weeks after losing in the first round in a Futures in Germany, Lutjen rallied to get past the first round in Egypt and then in the final toppled ATP World No. 261 Gleb Sakharov of France 7-6(3), 7-5.
