CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico - Ole Miss sophomore Josh Seiple carded a 2-under par 69 in the final round to lead the Rebels at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate Tuesday.

Seiple rolled in six birdies to post a team-best score of 69 in the third and final round. The Castle Rock, Colorado tied for 28th with fellow Rebel Braden Thornberry, who fired a final round 4-over 75. The pair help lead Ole Miss to a 12th place finish, besting No. 5 Georgia, California and Rice.

"There were certainly positives to take away from today and this week," said Ole Miss head coach Chris Malloy. "It was great to see us have our best round of the tournament in the final round. Josh played a very solid round of golf today. We need to get back and get healthy so we are prepared to play in San Diego."

Senior Ben Wolcott fired three birdies in a row on holes No. 2 through 4 and finished the day with a 5-over 76 to tie for 48th overall. Freshman Brody Blackmon was the only player in the field to eagle the 350-yard, par 4 No. 17 and tied for the lead in the field with two eagles in the tournament. The Sulfur Springs, Teas native improved each round, finishing with a 1-under par 70 in the final round for a tournament total 229. Junior Kerry Sweeney also improved each round of the tournament, posting an even-par 71 in the final round. Beau Briggs posted a final round score of 6-over par 77 to finish with a tournament total of 228.

Ole Miss tees off next at the Lamkin San Diego Classic at San Diego Country Club at Chula Vista, California March 13-14.
