OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss volleyball head coach Steven McRoberts completed his staff Friday with the announcement of Damaris Linker as the program's director of operations.

"We are very excited to have Damaris join our program," McRoberts said. "Everyone I talked to echoed how Damaris is a person of high character and they all raved about how well she does her job."

Linker spent the past two seasons as the volleyball director of operations at Ohio University under head coach Deane Webb.

"I am extremely excited and grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of Coach McRoberts' staff and the Ole Miss Volleyball program," Linker said. "The athletic department was very welcoming and I'm ready to get started with the planning of a successful year for Ole Miss Volleyball!"

Linker's responsibilities at Ohio include handling all team travel arrangements, including hotels, transportation, and meals, assisting in planning and execution of camps, planning events for teams, alumni, donors and supporters throughout the season and assisting in other daily operations of the program.

Prior to her stint with Ohio University, Linker served as an assistant coach at Rockford University in 2014. Linker helped guide the Regents to their most wins in seven seasons and a No. 3 ranking in NCAA Division III in blocks per set. Junior middle hitter/opposite hitter Kayla Kurz garnered Second Team All-Northern Athletics College Conference honors at the conclusion of the season after ranking second in the NACC and 53rd in NCAA Division III with 0.97 blocks per set.

Linker played volleyball at Quincy University from 2009-12, captaining the Hawks and earning Academic All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors in three of those years. She garnered Northwest Missouri All-Tournament Team honors as Quincy's libero in 2009. In 2011, Linker helped lead the Hawks to a berth in the GLVC Tournament for the first time in eight years. She concluded her collegiate career ranking fifth all-time in Quincy history with 1,094 digs. Linker served as a four-year member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee at Quincy, holding the secretary position for two years.

A native of Lanark, Illinois, Linker graduated magna cum laude from Quincy in 2013 with two bachelor of science degrees -- one in accounting and one in finance. She completed her master of science in recreation and sport sciences in December of 2016.
