Fans Invited to NCAA Tennis Watch Party

OXFORD, Miss. â€" Ole Miss fans are invited to come watch the 2017 NCAA Tennis Selection Show Tuesday afternoon at Goose Creek Tennis Club (located on Anderson Road at Wellsgate).

Festivities are free and open to the public and will begin at 3:45 p.m. The men's bracket will be revealed at 4 p.m., followed by the women's at 4:30 p.m.

Led by third-year head coach Toby Hansson, the men are expected to receive their 24th straight NCAA bid. The Rebels are led by junior All-American Gustav Hansson, who is ranked No. 19 in singles. Sophomore Fabian Fallert and junior Grey Hamilton are ranked No. 23 in doubles. Fallert finished the regular season tied for the second most wins in the SEC at 10-1, while senior Ricardo Jorge and junior Zvonimir Babic posted the second best doubles record at 8-1.

The women's team is expected to receive their ninth straight NCAA bid under head coach Mark Beyers. The Rebels are led by junior All-American Arianne Hartono, ranked No. 27 in singles and No. 21 in doubles with freshman Alexa Bortles. Hartono recently earned All-SEC first team honors.

First and second rounds of the NCAA Championship will take place May 12-14 at 16 sites. The winner of each of the 16 sites on both sides will earn a bid to the finals site in Athens, Ga., May 18-23.

Fields for the NCAA singles and doubles will be announced Wednesday evening. Both the men and women are expected to have representatives in both singles and doubles.
