Stay up to date at OleMissSports.com with former players who are currently playing professional tennis around the world. This week's update includes another doubles title for Nik Scholtz.

Scholtz comes out on top in Mexico…
After a couple of weeks visiting his old stomping grounds in Oxford, four-time All-American Nik Scholtz returned to the courts, this time in Mexico, where he captured the doubles title with Georgia Tech alum Kevin King. The pair knocked out the No. 1 seeds from Argentina in the first round in a thrilling three-setter. After that match, Scholtz and King did not drop a set including a straight set win against the No. 4 seed in the semifinals. In the final, they beat the No. 3 seeds in two tiebreakers.

This win marked Scholtz' second doubles title this year and 11th overall. This week, Scholtz is competing in singles only in Cordoba, Mexico. He beat Evan Song of the United States in straight sets in the first round on Monday.

Rebels in the Rankings…
Nik Scholtz - Singles: 451, Doubles: Career-high 296
Jonas Lutjen - Singles: 510, Doubles: 658
