FORT MYERS, Fla. - On day two of the FGCU Invitational, the Ole Miss women's tennis team took two of three in doubles against Denver and five of six in singles versus Kansas at the FGCU Tennis Complex.

Rebels Continue Solid Doubles Play…
The Rebels began the day taking two of three doubles matches from Denver. Natalie Suk and Sabina Machalova, ranked No. 22, won again Sunday, downing Denver's Gracia Mboko and Anna Riedmiller 6-2, to move to 3-0 on the weekend and 10-2 overall. Tereza Janatova and Allie Sanford cruised to a 6-2 win against Hada Chang and Anna Arisha Ladhani for their second win of the weekend. Sixth-ranked Arianne Hartono and Alexa Bortles dropped a close one (6-4) to 35th-ranked Bianca Mok and Camille Verden-Anderson.

Rebels Power Past Kansas in Singles…
In singles, the Rebels took five of the six matches, with a few tiebreakers being the difference in winning four of them in straight sets. Hartono defeated Despoina Vogasari 6-4, 7-6(6) to improve to 8-3 overall. Suk topped Janet Koch 6-2, 7-6(5). Machalova rallied to beat Nina Khmelnitckaia 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 to move to 7-3 on the year. Bortles beat Maria Toran Ribes 6-2, 7-6(4) and is now 6-1 on the year. Janatova finished out the singles with a 6-1, 6-3 win against Amber Policare.

Courtside with Head Coach Mark Beyers…
"Our level of play definitely went up today, compared to Saturday. Kansas has a really solid team, and to take 5 of 6 singles against them isn't easy. Hopefully we can finish strong tomorrow, get back home and start preparing for Purdue."
