Arianne Hartono Named SEC Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Ole Miss women's tennis senior Arianne Hartono has been named the SEC Player of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.

This marks the first time for Hartono to be named SEC Player of the Week. She was named Freshman of the Week in 2015.

Quick Hits…
• Went 5-0 in singles and doubles to help lead the Rebels to a 3-0 start, including two wins at the ITA Kick-Off.
• Clinched the season opener at Purdue.
• Against TCU won her match at No. 1 singles in straight sets to set up her teammate for the clinch.
• Defeated the No. 20 ranked doubles team and the No. 21 ranked singles player in straight sets to help the Rebels knock off No. 15 Oklahoma State in the championship match of the ITA Kick-Off and snap the Cowgirls 37-home match win streak.
• The Rebels advanced to the National Team Indoor for the second year in a row.
• Improved to 12-4 overall in singles and 11-5 in doubles.

The Rebels, who jumped eight spots to No. 15 in this week's Oracle/ITA Rankings, will host Memphis to kick off a doubleheader Saturday at 12 p.m. at the new Ole Miss Indoor Tennis Center, located near the Manning Center.
