Rebel Alums: Where Are They Now

In our first installment of Rebel Alums: Where are They Now, we take a look at All-American Matthias Wellermann.
Wellermann teamed with Bram ten Berge to reach the NCAA Doubles semifinals in 2008, earning All-America honors. He also helped lead the Rebels to the SEC Tournament Championship, their seventh straight SEC West title, the NCAA Elite Eight and a final national ranking of No. 6.
An All-SEC first team honoree, Wellermann went 15-3 at No. 2 doubles with two different partners and helped the Rebels go through the SEC Tournament without a loss in doubles.
In his first season (2007) with the Rebels, Wellermann helped lead the Rebels to the SEC Western Division Championship and the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
Off the court, Wellermann was named to the 2008 CoSIDA National Men's At-Large Academic All-America Third Team. He was a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete.
After graduating from Ole Miss, Wellermann completed his master's degree in accounting and earned his MBA at St. Gallen in Switzerland. He is currently living in London and working in investment banking.

Improve the (non-existing) golf game
Do you still follow the Rebels?
Yes, 100 percent up to date on Rebs tennis, basketball and football
What do you miss the most from living in Oxford?
That's a really tough question. I miss so many things, but team dinners after a big win are probably at the top of the list.
Do you keep in touch with teammates?
Yes, we all live quite far apart but we keep in touch on a regular basis. Meet ups are always fantastic.
