Luke Logan Selected to Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team

Ole Miss Football Kicker Honored for Academic and Athletic Excellence
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss football sophomore kicker Luke Logan was selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 6 First Team, announced Thursday by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® football team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
As a first team honoree, the sophomore out of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, advances to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if necessary) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December. Voting for the Academic All-America teams begins Tuesday, November 20.
A second-year accountancy major, Logan has maintained a 3.75 GPA and adds this Academic All-District selection to an already strong scholastic record. Logan was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2017, in addition to multiple Chancellor's Honor Roll and Dean's Honor Roll nods.
On the field, Logan has been one of the nation's leading point-scorers in his first year as the starting place kicker for the Rebels. With two games remaining in the season, Logan is 16-of-21 on field goal attempts, with a long of 40. He's a near-perfect 43-for-44 on PAT attempts for a total of 91 points scored on the season.
Logan is Ole Miss' leading scorer, ranking fourth in the SEC and 16th nationally, averaging 9.1 points per game. He also ranks sixth in the conference and 14th in the nation in field goals per game.
