Greg Little Named Semifinalist for Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award

Junior Lineman One of 13 Up for Texas-Specific Award
TYLER, Texas – Ole Miss junior offensive lineman Greg Little is one of 13 semifinalists for the 2018 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and SPORTyler announced on Friday.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity; specifically, tenacity to persist and determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals.
In addition, the nominee must meet one or more of the following criteria: born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year college.
Little, a junior out of Allen, Texas, has anchored the Ole Miss offensive line, appearing in every game at left tackle for the last three seasons. Heralded as one of the top NFL Draft prospects for 2019, Little earned second team All-American at the midway point by Sports Illustrated, USA Today, Associated Press and Athlon. He is also on the watch list for Outland Trophy.
He holds perhaps the most important position on one of the top offensive line units in the country. The Rebels are just one of nine teams in the NCAA that has started the same five offensive linemen in every game this season. Ole Miss ranks fifth in the country in total offense and fourth in passing yards. The Rebels are second in the SEC in scoring offense, averaging over 37 points per game.
Little is helping block for an Ole Miss offense that is on pace to be the only team in the country to have a 3,000-yard quarterback, a 1,000 yard receiver and a 1,000-yard running back.
