My First Year with Ole Miss Rifle: Kamilla Kisch
4/4/2018 | Rifle
A look at Kisch's First Year at Ole Miss
Kisch earned an individual bid to the NCAA Rifle Championships, which were held in early March at the McAlister Field House at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. She became the second Rebel to qualify for the NCAA Championships as a freshman, joining two-time All-American Alison Weisz, who qualified as a freshman in 2014.
Kisch set a personal best in air rifle with a 596 in the NCAA Qualifier held in Oxford on Feb.17 to book her spot. She posted a 590 or better in seven competitions this year. Kisch's 596 was one off the school record set by Weisz.
In her first GARC Championships, Kisch joined fellow freshman Emily Cock in the finals of air rifle and finished seventh. She helped the Rebels to third in air rifle and fourth overall. Kisch ranked second on the team with a 588.9 average in air rifle, right behind senior Jessica Haig.

Kamilla's Minute
"Choosing to attend and shoot for Ole Miss is one of the best decisions I have ever made," said Kisch. I have learned so much about myself and about shooting from my time here so far. The best advice that both Coach Beasley and Coach Lucas have given me is to just enjoy the process of the sport."
