BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After winning SEC Freshman of the Week last week, Ole Miss third baseman Tyler Keenan didn’t let up, putting together another outstanding slate to take the honor for a second straight week.

Keenan also went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in the Rebels’ midweek rout of Memphis.
Over the past two weeks, Keenan has slashed .464/.679/.484, amassing 13 hits, scoring four runs and driving in seven. He’s hit two home runs and added a stolen base in that span for the No. 4 Rebels.
Keenan is the first Rebel to ever be named SEC Freshman of the Week in back-to-back weeks. He’s one of two Rebels to ever earn the honor twice, joining Alex Yarbrough, who earned the nod twice in 2010.
Keenan is the second player this season to take Freshman of the Week honors in consecutive weeks. Texas A&M’s Zach DeLoach captured the honor in the first two weeks of the season. Arkansas freshman Casey Martin also took the award twice, though not in consecutive weeks. Additionally, Keenan is the only player to have won it twice during league play.
Keenan and the Rebels return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Pearl, Mississippi, for a rivalry meeting with No. 12 Southern Miss at Trustmark Park, home of the Double-A Mississippi Braves.
