Rebel Duo Earns All-America Honors

OXFORD, Miss. - The awards keep coming in for the Ole Miss women's tennis team, as senior Arianne Hartono and sophomore Alexa Bortles earned All-America honors, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently announced.

Hartono earned the honor in both singles and doubles, while Bortles earned the honor in doubles.

This is the second time for Hartono to be named an All-American in singles and first in doubles. She becomes the third player in program history to earn the honor in both singles and doubles in the same year.

Bortles becomes the 13th All-American in program history and the eighth under head coach Mark Beyers.

Hartono won the NCAA Singles Championship, earned SEC Player of the Year honors, was named ITA National Senior Player of the Year and most recently received the Honda Sports Award for Tennis. She is a finalist for the Honda Collegiate Female Athlete of the Year.

Bortles teamed with Hartono to finish ranked No. 7 in the nation in doubles. The duo finished the year with a 23-13 record. Bortles also earned All-SEC First Team honors.
