OXFORD, Miss. - Recent Ole Miss graduate Arianne Hartono originally went to Indonesia on vacation to visit the homeland of her parents, but she ended up playing in the ITF Futures event in Jakarta. Hartono came away with the doubles and singles titles at the Sultan Hotel Tennis Courts.

On Saturday, Hartono teamed up with her cousin and former Kentucky tennis player, Aldila Sutjiadi, to capture the doubles title. The pair received a wildcard into the main draw and did not drop a set on their way to the final. Once there, they took out the top seeds 6-1, 6-2. It marked Hartono's third career ITF doubles title.

Hartono had to enter the qualifying tournament in singles and not only qualified for the main draw, but powered her way to Saturday's title match, knocking out the Nos. 1, 3 and 7 seeds. In the final, Hartono beat the No. 8 seed, Mahak Jain (India) 6-4, 6-1, to win her first career professional singles title.

Despite trailing at the start of the opening set against the 17-year old from India, Hartono was able to take it 6-4. Broken twice and down 2-3, Hartono won four of the next five games. From 1-1 in the second set, it was all Hartono as she cruised for 6-1.

"I had trouble at the beginning of the first set, because she played good defense and was returning everything," said Hartono, born to parents from Indonesia. "I knew I had to be patient and once I figured out her game, I was able to change my game. It became the key to winning faster in the second set."

Hartono wrapped up her incredible career in May winning the NCAA Championship, the first in program history. The SEC Player of the Year also earned the Honda Award for Tennis.

In winning the title this week, Hartono has not lost a singles match since March 17.
