Volleyball to Host Red-Blue Scrimmage

OXFORD, Miss. โย Join the Ole Miss volleyball team for Fan Appreciation Day on Aug. 18 at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center and catch the team in action at the Red/Blue Scrimmage, which begins at 2 p.m.
In conjunction with the Red/Blue scrimmage, the Rebels will host a Kids Clinic from 11 a.m. โ 12 p.m., open to kids ages 5-12. Following the Kids Clinic, fans are invited to attend Volleyball 101 hosted by head coachย Steven McRobertsย beginning at 12:30 p.m. Fans will learn about the different positions and rules of the game.
Fan Appreciation Day will conclude with the annual Red/Blue Scrimmage at 2 p.m. This will mark the fans' first opportunity to see the team in action before they open the season in Iowa at the Iowa State Invitational Aug. 24-25.ย ย
The Rebels return four starters plus senior liberoย Caroline Adams. Juniorย Emily Stroupย paces the offensive attack after setting the single-season kills record last year and earning NIVC MVP honors. Both settersย Jordan Fateย (junior) andย Lauren Barsย (sophomore) return as well as middle blockersย Nayo Warnellย (junior) andย Bayleigh Scottย (sophomore).ย
Players report for fall camp Aug. 7 and the Rebels first practice will be Aug. 8.ย
Doors for Fan Appreciation Day will open at 10:30 a.m., on Aug. 18 and the Clear Bag Policy will be in effect.ย
