 OFFENSIVE NOTES
• RB Scottie Phillips recorded 204 yards, on 16 carries with two touchdowns in his first career start for Ole Miss.
• Phillips became just the 8th running back to run for over 200 yards in a game ... It was the 10th overall time in program history.
• His 204 yards are the most by an Ole Miss running back making his debut.
• Ole Miss opened the game with a two play, 69-yard drive that only took 33 seconds ... It was the third time in the last six games that Ole Miss has scored a TD within the opening 39 seconds (39 seconds at Mississippi State (11/23/18), 31 seconds vs. Arkansas (10/28/17).
• Ole Miss tallied two scoring plays of 50 yards or greater. The Rebels had 12 last season.
• Ole Miss had three scoring drives that resulted in TDs that took less than 50 seconds.
• The 24 first quarter points were the most in an opening 12 minutes since Sept. 12, 2015 vs. Fresno State, when the Rebels tallied 28 to open the game.
• QB Jordan Ta'amu complete 22-of-32 passes for 336 yards and two touchdowns.
• WR A.J. Brown led all Ole Miss receivers with seven catches for 93 yards and one touchdown.
• WR Braylon Sanders tallied a career-high in both catches (four) and yards (60).
 
 DEFENSIVE NOTES
• DE Qaadir Sheppard recorded a career-high 1.5 tackles-for-loss.
• DB Zedrick Woods tallied a team-high nine tackles.
• DB Jaylon Jones recorded a career-high in total tackles (7) and solo tackles (7) before leaving the game due to injury.
• DB Montrell Custis had a career-high seven tackles, all of which were solo tackles ... He also had four pass breakups.
• DB Vernon Dasher tallied a career-high five tackles.
• The Ole Miss defense stopped Texas Tech on all three of the Red Raiders' fourth down attempts.
 
 SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
• Junior Jaylon Jones recorded his second career kickoff return TD with a 97 yard score in the first quarter.
• It was the second straight years Jones' tallied a kick return TD ... Prior to last season, Ole Miss hadn't returned a kick for a touchdown since 2012.
