• Freshman RB Tylan Knight rushed for a career-high 62 yards on six carries, for an average of 10.3 yards per carry.
DEFENSIVE NOTES |
• Coming into today's contest, Ole Miss has two sacks through three games ... The Rebels recorded seven sacks today vs. Kent State.
• Ole Miss held its opponent under 20 points for the first time since Sept. 24, 2016, when the Rebels held No. 11 Georgia to 14 points.
• DE Markel Winters became just the third Rebel, since 2010, to get three sacks in a single game joining Marquis Haynes (2017) and Jonathan Cornell (2010).
• Winters finished the game with four total tackles, all of which resulted in negative yards for Kent State.
• DB C.J. Moore recovered a Kent State fumble during the fourth quarter ... It was the second straight game Moore tallied a fumble recovery.
