Teneeshia Jones-Boyd Named to SEC Women’s Legends Class of 2019

Jones-Boyd Was an Eight-Time All-American at Ole Miss
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Rebel track & field great Teneeshia Jones-Boyd has been named to the SEC Women's Legends Class of 2019, the conference announced Thursday.
The 2019 Class showcases former student-athletes, coaches and administrators from all 14 SEC member institutions. On Mondays and Thursdays during the conference season, one individual will be highlighted on the SEC's website and via social media. The class will be honored at the 2019 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament, March 6-10 in Greenville, S.C. Each legend will be honored during half-time of their teams first game of the tournament, all 14 individuals will also be honored as a group, as well as participate in an autograph session during the tournament. Complimentary posters of the Legends will be available at the session.
Jones, an eight-time All-American, was the 2001 SEC Champion in the 100-meter hurdles. In addition to this, she finished runner-up in the SEC three times. Her highest national finish was third at the 2000 NCAA Indoor Championships in the 60-meter dash.
Jones still holds several school records, including the 100-meter dash (11.24), the 200-meter dash (22.97), and the 100-meter hurdles (13.27) for outdoor and the 60-meter (7.28), 200-meter (23.26), and 60-meter hurdles (8.20) for indoor. She also holds non-standard indoor records in the 55-meter dash (6.83) and the 55-meter hurdles (7.76).
She scored 78.5 total SEC points in her-career, which was a school records at the time. She helped lead Ole Miss to its first ever top-20 national finish in 2000, when the Rebels finished 18th overall.
