Rebels One of Five SEC Teams in Top 10
SPRING, Texas ย โ Ole Miss baseball earned its second preseason top-10 ranking Monday as D1Baseball.com tabbed the Rebels at No. 10 in its Preseason Top 25.
The Rebels are one of five Southeastern Conference teams in the top 10. Eight SEC squads in total made the D1Baseball rankings.
Ole Miss will face a litany of top-flight competition in 2019. The Rebels' 2019 slate includes trips to No. 2 LSU (May 3-5) and No. 4 Louisville (Mar. 12-13). No. 6 Florida will come to Swayze Field (Apr. 5-7), as will No. 11 East Carolina (Mar. 6) and No. 14 Mississippi State (May 10-12).
The Rebels will also take on preseason No. 16 and defending national runner-up Arkansas on the road (Mar. 29-31), as well as No. 22 Auburn (Apr. 18-23).
As the Rebels take on a challenging road, they'll do so with seven returning starters on the SEC's best offense from a season ago. Ole Miss will have to replace three MLB Draft picks on the mound, including first-rounder Ryan Rolison, but a wealth of new young arms have lined up to fill the void.
