Ole Miss begins 2019 campaign in Palm Springs, Calif.

TEMPE, Ariz.  -- 
 After a strong fall season which featured ITA Regional runner-ups in both the singles and doubles events, Ole Miss Women's Tennis begins its 2019 campaign ranked 12thby the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), as announced by the organization Wednesday morning. 
 
After winning their second National Championship in the last three years, Stanford takes the crown, while the Rebels' conference foe Vanderbilt comes in at No. 2. The Commodores spent a good portion of the 2018 season ranked first in the nation, but fell in the title match 4-3.
 
The Rebels and Vandy are two of six SEC squads ranked, with another receiving votes. 
 
In addition to all six SEC opponents, Ole Miss will also face ranked foes Michigan/Syracuse (No. 10/No. 24) and UCF (No. 20) during their upcoming spring slate. 
 
The Rebels swing into action this weekend, competing in the National Collegiate Tennis Classic, held at Sunrise Country Club in Palm Springs, Calif.
