Ealy Named to Midseason List for FWAA Freshman All-American Team

Dynamic Freshman has Six Total Touchdowns on the Season
DALLAS – Ole Miss freshman Jerrion Ealy was named to the midseason watch list for the Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America Team, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Ealy, who has six total touchdowns this season, made the list as an all-purpose pick.
The Walnut Grove, Mississippi, native has tallied 384 rushing yards on 48 carries, including four TDs on the ground. Ealy has three runs greater than 50 yards this season, the third-most in the country. His 8.0 yards per carry leads all SEC freshmen, with a minimum of 40 carries.
He leads the SEC and ranks 25th nationally with 24.9 yards per return, including a 94-yard TD return vs. Southeastern Louisiana in Week 3. Ealy has also hauled in nine catches for 92 yards and one TD. He is the first Ole Miss player since 2012 (Jaylen Walton) to record a rushing, receiving and return touchdown in the same season.
Ole Miss (3-5, 2-3 SEC) has an off week before traveling to Auburn, Alabama, to take on the No. 9 Tigers.
