NFL Rebels Update: Week 8

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss has a big presence in the NFL again this year and there are currently 26 Rebels on NFL rosters, including two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning and 2019 second round draft picks Greg Little, A.J. Brown, and D.K. Metcalf.

Overall, 18 Rebels played in the eighth week of the 2019 season. Here's a rundown of how each NFL Rebel performed:

#38 Brandon Bolden | RB | New England Patriots
Returned two kickoffs for 42 yards in the 27-13 victory over the Browns.

#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Tennessee Titans
Caught the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter of the 27-23 victory over the Buccaneers. Brown has put up impressive numbers as a rookie, having hauled in 22 receptions for 348 yards and three touchdowns through eight games.

#16 Cody Core | WR | New York Giants
Played three snaps on offense and 14 on special teams in the 31-26 loss to the Lions.

#88 Evan Engram | TE | New York Giants
Caught four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown in the 31-26 loss to the Lions. The 2017 first round pick has established himself as one of the best tight ends in the NFL, having recorded 38 receptions for 419 yards and three touchdowns in seven games this season.

#98 Marquis Haynes | DE | Carolina Panthers
Made one tackle in the 51-13 loss to the 49ers.

#28 Mike Hilton | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
Forced a crucial fumble on his lone tackle in the 27-14 victory over the Dolphins Monday night.

#95 Lavon Hooks | DE | Pittsburgh Steelers
On injured reserve.

#64 John Jerry | G | Cincinnati Bengals
Started at guard and played all 83 offensive snaps in the 24-10 loss to the Rams.

#93 D.J. Jones | DT | San Francisco 49ers
Recorded a career-high five tackles and his first career sack in the 51-13 victory over the Panthers.

#6 Chad Kelly | QB | Indianapolis Colts
Did not play.

#88 Dawson Knox | TE | Buffalo Bills
Started at tight end in the 31-13 loss to the Eagles.

Started at tackle and played all 82 offensive snaps in the 17-16 loss to the Chargers.

#14 D.K. Metcalf | WR | Seattle Seahawks
Caught two touchdowns, the third and fourth of his career, in the 27-20 victory over the Falcons. Metcalf has been one of the best rookies in the NFL season, grabbing 23 receptions for 402 yards and four touchdowns through eight games.

Played 15 offensive snaps in the 27-14 victory over the Dolphins.

#49 C.J. Moore | S | Detroit Lions
Played 23 snaps on defense and 16 on special teams in the 31-26 victory over the Giants.

Played 23 snaps on special teams in the 27-24 comeback win over the Raiders.
