Rebels to Host Hokies in Oxford in 2037

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss football has agreed to a home-and-home series with Virginia Tech, it was announced Thursday.

The Rebels will begin a home-and-home partnership with Virginia Tech when Ole Miss travels to Blacksburg, Virginia, in 2032 (Sept. 4), followed by a 2037 (Sept. 5) matchup vs. the Hokies in Oxford.

Ole Miss and Virginia Tech have squared off twice on the football field, with the first meeting in 1913 when the Hokies – then known at Virginia Polytechnic Institute – won 35-14. The Rebels evened the all-time series at a game apiece with a 34-17 victory in the 1968 Liberty Bowl.

This is the second Power 5 opponent Ole Miss has secured within the last week for a home-and-home series. The Rebels also added Purdue to their future schedules with the Boilermakers set to visit Oxford in 2033 and Ole Miss to return the favor by visiting West Lafayette, Indiana, in 2034.
