Rebels Sweep Missouri Sunday

Ole Miss downs Mizzou 4-0, their first sweep in SEC play this season
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss Women's Tennis moved back into the win column Sunday, sweeping conference foe Missouri 4-0 at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center.
The win marks the first 4-0 decision for the Rebels in SEC play this season as they move to 7-8 (4-5) on the year.
Ole Miss worked quickly, picking up the doubles point courtesy of wins on Courts 2 and 3 from the pairs of senior/junior Tea Jandric and Anna Vrbenska, and juniors Tereza Janatova and Cameron Kriscunas. The victory is the second in a row for Janatova and Kriscunas, who turned in the lone doubles victory Friday.
Each Rebel won their first game of singles action, with four of the six courts taking two game leads. Sophomore Sabina Machalova cruised, sweeping the opening set and picking up the first game in the second for seven straight.
Meanwhile, after being knotted in a 3-3 stalemate, Janatova found momentum, registering seven successive game victories, picking up her first set and taking a 3-0 lead into the second. She handed Ole Miss their second point of the match with her fifth victory in her last six contests.
Machalova was quick to follow, registering a 6-0, 6-2 decision for her second ranked win of the season and the Rebs' third point of the match.
Vrbenska provided her first clinch of the conference season, turning in a 6-1, 6-3 decision for her fourth consecutive victory.
The matches of junior Alexa Bortles, senior Allie Sanford, and Jandric were all left unfinished.
