Tereza Janatova Earns SEC Community Service Team Honors

Ole Miss Junior Carries a Team-High GPA and Leads the Rebels with Over 20 Wins
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – In a continuing effort to recognize the conference's student-athletes beyond the simple field of competition, the Southeastern Conference has once again highlighted a panel of athletes for its annual SEC Community Service Team. This year, Ole Miss Women's Tennis junior Tereza Janatova was one of 14 athletes honored for the 2018-19 squad.
All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men's and women's sports being chosen from 1999-2003.
As a member of SAAC, Janatova has spent numerous hours volunteering and lending a helping hand around the community and town of Oxford. In addition to helping organize and facilitate the A Hope to Dream event, where children in need receive mattresses and other supplies, she also volunteered for A Night to Shine event, a special needs prom founded by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
She has also been a consistent volunteer with the Reading with the Rebels program, spending time reading children's books at different elementary schools. She volunteers with the Adopt A Basket collection gathering event and the CASA Superhero Race, and is also a constant presence at the Oxford Public Courts tennis clinics and children's camps.
Janatova serves as an executive board member or Rebels International, the Ole Miss international student-athlete committee.
Janatova and the Rebels conclude their conference season this weekend, welcoming LSU and Texas A&M for a pair of weekend matches.
