Rebels and Bulldogs will Play Friday Doubleheader at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. CT

OXFORD, Miss. – Weather continues to wreak havoc on Ole Miss' schedule in 2019, with forecasted thunderstorms Thursday in Starkville causing the Rebels to shake up the schedule for their upcoming series at Mississippi State.

Originally scheduled to be played Thursday through Saturday, the two sides will now square off in a doubleheader on Friday at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. CT, finishing up the series on Saturday at the originally scheduled time of 1 p.m. Friday's second game will be televised nationally on the SEC Network.

In the midst of one of the finest season's in program-history, the Rebels will look to buck the historical trend of the series between the two rivals, with MSU owning a 39-26 all-time record. Ole Miss, however, has held a slight advantage of late, winning six of the last 10 meetings.

At 9-5 in league play, Ole Miss currently sits in fourth place in the SEC standings, just one half game outside of a tie for third. The Rebels have yet to lose a conference series this season, with the Rebels' four series wins already setting a program-record.
