Volleyball Adds DS Maggie Miller to 2019 Roster

Miller will join the Rebels in time for the fall 2019 season
OXFORD, Miss. – On the brink of unveiling their 2019 home schedule, Ole Miss Volleyball has announced an addition to their fall roster, welcoming incoming freshman Maggie Miller to the red and navy.
Miller, a product of Houston, Texas, attended Cypress Creek High School, and ranked third in the country on MaxPreps.com for digs in 2017. A defensive specialist, she brings a variety of titles with her to Oxford, including the Cypress Fairbanks school district Newcomer of the Year and Preseason Player of the Year, as well as a two-time Defensive Player of the Year honor.
She is a four-time Academic All-District honoree, as well as a member of National Honor Society and plans to major in communications with hopes to be a sports broadcaster.
"We are excited to have Maggie come join our program," head coach Steven McRoberts said. "I know she will add energy and depth to our DS position this year."
Miller joins three other incomings to round out the 2023 class; setter Lauren DeLo, middle blocker Ava Wampler, and outside hitter Anna Bair.
The Rebels begin their 2019 campaign hosting three postseason teams from a year ago in NIVC Champions Iowa State and 2018 NCAA Tournament participants UCF and Rice in the Rebel Invitational August 30-Sept. 2.
