Ole Miss begins its season hosting three in the Rebel Invitational

OXFORD, Miss. –  Coming off Friday's unveiling of the 2019 home campaign, Ole Miss Volleyball has released its full fall schedule, which features three road tournaments and home-and-home trips against six league opponents, including reigning league champions Kentucky.

Ole Miss begins its 2019 campaign hosting three postseason teams from a year ago in NIVC Champions Iowa State and 2018 NCAA Tournament participants UCF and Rice in the Rebel Invitational August 30-Sept. 1.

The Rebels will open the weekend with 2018 Conference USA Champions Rice at 6 p.m. on Friday, and then a matinee matchup with Iowa State at 11 a.m. Saturday. The tournament concludes with the Rebs hosting UCF Sunday at noon.

Ole Miss will spend week two in the Big Easy, playing Missouri State, Houston Baptist, and hosts Tulane in the Sugar Bowl Volleyball Collegiate Classic, held in New Orleans (Sept. 6-8).

The third week of the season finds the Rebels heading to Head Coach Steven McRoberts' homeland, facing Little Rock, Oral Roberts, and Central Arkansas in the Central Arkansas Classic in Conway (Sept. 13-14).

Ole Miss wraps up nonconference action in our nation's capitol, taking on Howard and American in a D.C. weekend (Sept. 20-21) and then begins SEC play at home, welcoming Tennessee to Gillom Athletics Performance Center for the first of two meetings between the Rebs and Lady Volunteers this season (Sept. 27).

The Rebels will travel down the road to Starkville to take on in-state rivals Mississippi State for the 98thmeeting in program history and their first road SEC match of the year (Oct. 4).

After there, it's a trek to face Tigers, facing LSU in Baton Rouge (Oct. 6) before heading to Columbia to take on Missouri (Oct. 9) in their first of three Wednesday night matchups this fall.

After a three-match home stint, welcoming Auburn (Oct. 13), Arkansas (Oct. 18), and Texas A&M (Oct. 20) to Gillom, the Rebels return to the road, traveling to Athens, Ga., to face Georgia in another Wednesday showdown (Oct. 23).

Ole Miss faces Kentucky twice, first in Oxford on Sunday, Oct. 27, before wrapping up the season in Lexington on Friday, Nov. 30.

The Rebels will rematch Tennessee to begin November, then head to Tuscaloosa looking to continue their recent dominance over Alabama, having won three in a row and six of their last seven meetings against the Crimson Tide (Nov. 3).

Another three-match tilt sits on tap for Ole Miss, welcoming Florida (Nov. 8), South Carolina (Nov. 10), and concluding the series with Georgia (Nov. 15) for their penultimate Gillom event.

The Rebels will make return trips to Arkansas (Nov. 22) and Texas A&M (Nov. 24) before again taking on Mizzou in a special Senior Night celebration for their final Wednesday contest of the season.
