Rebels to Face Four Power Five Opponents as Part of Deep Field
OXFORD, Miss. – Fans get their first glimpse at Ole Miss' 2020 softball schedule on Wednesday as the Rebels announce five games for opening weekend as part of the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Florida Feb. 7-9.
The Rebels' slate for the classic, which returns for the first time since 2014, includes four power five opponents and three 2019 NCAA Tournament qualifiers. Ole Miss will face off against Louisville and NC State on Friday, Illinois and Notre Dame on Saturday and Liberty on Sunday.
Ole Miss holds a 2-0 record over Louisville and a 1-0 mark against Liberty all-time. The Rebs dropped their lone previous meeting with both Illinois and Notre Dame and have never face NC State.
Tickets for the event will go on sale Aug. 27 and be available for purchase on NFCA.org.
