WOLCOTT, Colo. – The Ole Miss women's golf team travels to Colorado for the Golfweek Conference Challenge (Sept. 23-25) in Wolcott.

Ole Miss will compete against 17 teams from 17 different conferences. The field includes NC State (ACC), SMU (American), Kennesaw State (A-Sun), TCU (Big 12), Xavier (BIG EAST), Sacramento State (Big Sky), Campbell (Big South), Nebraska (Big Ten), UC Riverside (Big West), Delaware (Colonial), San Diego State (Mountain West), UCLA (Pac-12), East Tennessee State (SoCon), Central Arkansas (Southland), Denver (Summit League), South Alabama (Sun Belt), and Pepperdine (WCC).
The Rebels traveled to Colorado for the second tournament of the fall season last year, tying for second at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate in Highlands Ranch. Ole Miss last played in the Golfweek Conference Challenge during the 2015-16 season.
"The team has put in a lot of work since our last tournament and they are eager to play again this week," head coach Kory Henkes said. "This is a very talented field so we'll need to be at our best from start to finish, and I know we'll be up to the challenge."
Henkes is brining six Rebels to compete, with Kennedy Swann in the No. 1 position, followed by Chiara Tamburlini, Pi-Lillebi Hermansson, Julia Johnson and Andrea Lignell. Ellen Hutchinson-Kay will compete as an individual.
Swann will play in the No. 1 position for the first time in her Ole Miss career. The senior put together a career-best finish in her last outing at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, tying for 17th with a career-low second round 6-under 66.
Tamburlini will make her Rebel debut this week. The freshman, from St. Gallen, Switzerland, comes with a decorated junior golf resume in her home country, including a first-place at the Ticino Championship.
Hermansson opened up with a career-low 5-under 67 to begin her senior season. The senior finished top-25 at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate, the Rebel's lone event in Colorado last season.
Johnson comes into the tournament after leading the Rebels in the first event of the season, where she tied for 13th in New Mexico after three even-par 72s. The junior put together a top-5 performance last year in Colorado, where a final round career-best 6-under 66 pushed her into the top-5 at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate.
Andrea Lignell returns to the lineup after making her Rebel debut in New Mexico, where she finished tied for 17th featuring two 1-under 71s.
Ellen Hutchinson-Kay will compete as an individual. The sophomore finished tied for 32nd in the opening event of the season for Ole Miss.
First round is set for Monday morning with tee times for Ole Miss beginning at 11:50 a.m. CT. The Rebels will be paired with East Tennessee State and Sacramento State.
