Rebels to Play Seven Exhibition Games at the Ole Miss Softball Complex
OXFORD, Miss. – On Tuesday, Ole Miss announced its schedule for the fall season as the Rebels begin to prepare for the 2020 season.
In head coach Mike Smith's sixth fall in Oxford, the Rebels will play eight fall exhibitions in all, seven of which will be played at the Ole Miss Softball Complex. Admission to every fall game in Oxford is free and open to the public.
The fall schedule kicks off on Sept. 22 at home against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College before the Rebs move into a seven-game October schedule, beginning on Oct. 6 with a doubleheader in Oxford against UAB and Memphis.
The lone road game of the fall will be on Oct. 13, a matchup with Troy in Birmingham, Alabama. Ole Miss will then play North Alabama on Oct. 18 and Mississippi Valley State on Oct. 23. The 2019 fall schedule wraps up on Oct. 26 with another doubleheader, with the Rebels facing Delta State and Jones College at the Ole Miss Softball Complex.
Ole Miss is coming off of a successful 2019 campaign in which the Rebels finished 41-20, including earning a fifth-place finish in the SEC standings with a 13-10 league record. The Rebs earned their second-ever home Regional, defeating No. 7 Louisiana in a dramatic championship game to advance to the program's second Super Regional.
