NFL Rebels Update: Week 2

Hilton and Metcalf Turn Heads in Week Two
OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. Ole Miss has a big presence in the league again this year, and there are currently 25 former Rebels on NFL rosters, including star second-year wide receivers A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf.
Cornerback Mike Hilton had a massive game, leading the Steelers to a 2-0 record, and Metcalf shined in the Seahawks' win, pacing the team receiving yards and scoring a touchdown for the second consecutive week.
Overall, 15 of them played in the second week of the 2020 season. Here's a rundown of how each NFL Rebel performed:
#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Tennessee Titans
Ruled out before the game with a bone bruise in his knee.
#88 Evan Engram | TE | New York Giants
Led the Giants in receptions with six catches for 65 yards in the 17-13 loss to the Bears.
#78 Woodrow Hamilton | NT | Carolina Panthers
Prior to Sunday's game, Hamilton was elevated from the practice squad. He made an immediate impact, recovering a fumble in the second quarter and recording a tackle in the 31-17 loss to the Buccaneers.
#38 Myles Hartsfield | CB | Carolina Panthers
Recorded a tackle and played 14 snaps on special teams in the 31-17 loss to the Buccaneers.
#98 Marquis Haynes | DE | Carolina Panthers
Played 15 snaps on defense in the 31-17 loss to the Buccaneers.
#28 Mike Hilton | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
Led the Steelers on defense with a season-high eight tackles (all solo), including two for a loss. Hilton filled up the stat sheet, recording an eight-yard sack, recovering a fumble and defending a pass in the 26-21 victory over the Broncos. He now has 13 tackles and two sacks on the season.
#93 D.J. Jones | DT | San Francisco 49ers
Started at defensive tackle and tallied three tackles, one of which was for a loss, in the 31-13 win over the Jets.
#88 Dawson Knox | TE | Buffalo Bills
Totaled one reception for 38 yards, took a hit on the play and was later ruled out of the game with a concussion. The Bills went on to win 31-28.
#74 Greg Little | OT | Carolina Panthers
Saw limited action in the Panthers' 31-17 loss to the Buccaneers.
#70 Bobby Massie | OT | Chicago Bears
Started at right tackle for the Bears and played all 65 snaps. He recorded a key fourth-down reception on a deflected pass late in the game, as the Bears defeated the Giants 17-13.
#14 D.K. Metcalf | WR | Seattle Seahawks
Metcalf matched up against the 2019 NFL Defensive Player of the Year in Stephon Gilmore on Sunday night and put on a show. Showing off his speed and size, he caught four passes for 92 yards, including a 54-yard touchdown catch in the 35-30 win over the Patriots.
#33 A.J. Moore | S | Houston Texans
Recorded two tackles and played 24 snaps on defense in the Texans' 33-16 loss to the Ravens.
#49 C.J. Moore | S | Detroit Lions
Saw action on special teams, playing 19 snaps in the 42-21 loss to the Packers.
#78 Laremy Tunsil | OT | Houston Texans
Started at tackle for the Texans and played all 59 snaps in the 33-16 loss to the Ravens.
#35 Ken Webster | CB | San Francisco 49ers
Webster was signed early last week by the 49ers. He appeared on 14 snaps on special teams in the 31-13 win over the Jets.
#20 Jordan Wilkins | RB | Indianapolis Colts
Carried the ball 10 times for 40 yards in the 28-11 win over the Vikings.
