 SERIES INFORMATION
• This game marked the first meeting all-time between Ole Miss and Indiana.
• The Rebels faced a current Big Ten opponent for the third time in their bowl history. 
• Ole Miss fell 35-3 to Michigan in the 1991 Gator Bowl and beat Nebraska, then part of the Big 12 Conference, 27-23 in the 2002 Independence Bowl.

• The 2021 Outback Bowl appearance marked Ole Miss' 37th all-time bowl appearance, which is 25th on the all-time NCAA Division I list ... It was the Rebels first-ever time playing in the Outback Bowl. 
• The Rebels have actually appeared in 37 bowl games already, with the Outback Bowl the 38th, but the appearance and win in the 2013 BBVA Compass Bowl was vacated due to NCAA ruling.
• Ole Miss is 24-13 in bowl games, with the 24 wins ranked tied for 14th-most in history ... Original record is 25-13.
• The Rebels' .649 winning percentage in bowl games ranks first nationally among teams with at least 25 appearances.
• Ole Miss is 12-2 on the field in its last 14 bowl games dating back to a 13-0 win over Air Force in the 1992 Liberty Bowl.
• The Rebels had a streak of six straight bowl wins snapped at the 2014 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl with a loss to TCU.
• Ole Miss' only other loss in the last 14 came during the 2000 Music City Bowl, falling 49-38 to West Virginia.
 
 OFFENSIVE NOTES
• The Rebels' 18 play touchdown drive in the second quarter was the longest scoring drive of the season.
Matt Corral completed 30 passes for 342 yards and two touchdowns ... It marked his seventh 300-yard passing game this season ... Additionally, his 342 passing yards are the second most by an Ole Miss quarterback in a bowl game behind Mark Young (343 vs Texas Tech, 1986 Independence Bowl).
• Corral finished the Outback Bowl with 379 yards of total offense, passing Chad Kelly (375 vs. Oklahoma State, 2016 Sugar Bowl) for the most ever by an Ole Miss player in a bowl game.
• Corral became the fifth Rebel ever to pass for more than 3,000 yards in a season, joining Eli Manning (2002 & 2003), Bo Wallace (2012 & 2014), Chad Kelly (2015) and Jordan Ta'amu (2018) ... He finished the season with 3,337 yards, No. 6 on Ole Miss' single-season chart.
• Corral also moved into the top 10 in passing at Ole Miss with 4,938 career yards, surpassing Archie Manning (4,753, 1968-70) for 10th all-time.
• Corral's 29 touchdown passes this season are tied with Eli Manning (2003) for the third-most touchdowns thrown in a single season.
• Senior wideout Dontario Drummond led all Rebel receivers with a career-high 110 receiving yards on six receptions ... He found the end zone for the fifth straight game and seventh time this season, catching a three-yard strike that proved to be the game-winning score.
John Rhys Plumlee caught a career-best five passes for 73 yards, including a 44-yard reception to set up the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Snoop Conner totaled 43 yards on the ground including a four-yard touchdown run, his eighth rushing score of the season.
• True freshman Henry Parrish Jr. made his first career start, lining up at running back ... Parrish carried the ball 17 times for 63 yards.
• Redshirt freshman Casey Kelley recorded a career-high six receptions for 49 yards ... He also caught his first career touchdown on a five-yard pop pass in the second quarter.
• Wide receiver Jadon Jackson set a career-high in receptions and yards hauling in four passes for 38 yards.
Chase Rogers hauled in a 10-yard pass in the second quarter, marking the first reception as a Rebel for the redshirt junior ... He caught three passes for 18 yards.
• Freshman running back Kentrel Bullock recorded his first career touches, carrying the ball twice for 11 yards.
 
DEFENSIVE NOTES
• The Ole Miss defense held Indiana to three points in the first half, the fewest first-half points allowed by a Rebel defense this season and the fewest since allowing three points to New Mexico State (Nov. 9, 2019).
Otis Reese recorded his first-career interception in the second quarter ... He ranked second on the team with nine total tackles in the victory.
• In the third quarter, Tylan Knight forced a fumble that was recovered by Jalen Jordan.
• The Ole Miss defense recorded two turnovers against the Hoosiers, their third game this season with multiple takeaways ... They have notched a turnover in all but one game this season.
• For the second consecutive game, Jacquez Jones totaled double-digit tackles ... He finished with a career-high 13 tackles, including nine solo stops.
 
 SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
Luke Logan connected on two field goals from 24 and 26 yards out, giving him six made kicks on the season … He moved into a tie for fifth with Brian Lee (1989-92) for most career field goals made at 41. 
• Logan scored eight points kicking (2-of-4 on field goals and 2-of-3 on PATs), giving him 257 in his Rebel career.
Mac Brown punted three times for an average of 48.3 yards per punt, including a long of 52 yards ... His average of 48.3 yards was the best mark by an Ole Miss punter in a bowl game, passing Tyler Campbell (48.2 vs Oklahoma State, 2010 Cotton Bowl).
• Logan and LS Jack Propst played in their team-leading 46th game as a Rebel.
