Tiphanie Fiquet Returns to ITF Play at W25 Austin

Fiquet Fresh Off of ITA Southern Singles Title
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss' Tiphanie Fiquet returns to the ITF Pro Circuit for the H-E-B Women's Pro Tennis Open in Austin, TX, starting Monday.
The ITF W25 Austin event features a 32-participant qualifying draw feeding into a 32-participant main draw in singles. Fiquet is the No. 13 highest-ranked player in singles qualifying, ranked at No. 748 in the WTA Rankings and No. 116 in the ITF Rankings. She is also ranked as the No. 69 collegiate student-athlete in the ITA Preseason Rankings. The top player in the event is WTA No. 127 Maddison Inglis from Australia.
Qualifying for the main draw will occur on Monday with the main draw beginning Tuesday and concluding on Saturday.
Fiquet has started off the fall 2021 collegiate season undefeated in singles, 7-0. She is also 3-0 versus ranked players including a 2-0 record versus ITA top-25 players. Fiquet won the ITA Southern Singles Championships last week, winning six consecutive matches en-route to victory.
By winning an ITA Regional, Fiquet automatically qualifies for the ITA Fall National Championships in San Diego, beginning Nov. 4.
This fall, Fiquet has compiled a 3-3 record in ITF singles matches. She competed in one fall doubles event, winning the W15 Lubbock title partnering with Texas' Fernanda Labraña. Fiquet has won five professional ITF doubles titles in her career (four in 2021).
Tournament draws will be released prior to Monday morning.
