NEW ORLEANS – Ole Miss women's cross country moved up one spot to No. 14 while the Rebel men came in at No. 28 in the Week Four USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll released on Tuesday.

This is the 32nd time both Ole Miss squads have been ranked simultaneously, as well as the eighth time in a row dating back to the end of the 2020 season.

This is the eighth straight appearance in the national poll for the Ole Miss women, who have now appeared in the USTFCCCA rankings 33 times in their history. Ole Miss has at least been receiving votes in 25 of the last 26 women's polls dating back to 2018 and 42 of the last 45 back to 2016.

Meanwhile, this is the 50th total appearance for the Rebel men and their 44th in a row dating back to the 2016 preseason. Additionally, Ole Miss has ranked in 50 of the last 53 men's polls going back to 2014 and have at least received votes in 53 of the last 55 also back to 2014.

Ole Miss is coming off a solid showing at Notre Dame's high-powered Joe Piane Invitational on October 1, where the Rebel women finished sixth behind five top-10 teams and the Ole Miss men took eighth and were led by a top-10 finish from All-American and reigning SEC Champion, Mario Garcia Romo.

The Rebel men and women are off this week to prepare for the highly competitive Pre-National Invitational, held this year at Florida State on October 15. The Pre-National meet stands as a yearly preview of the NCAA Championship course, and Florida State is slated to host the national meet on Sat., Nov. 20.
