NFL Rebels Update: Week 9

Moore Scores Twice on Thursday Night Football
OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. Ole Miss' presence in the league has continued to grow, with 22 former Rebels on NFL rosters (practice squad included), including 2020 Pro Bowlers A.J. Brown, Evan Engram, D.K. Metcalf and Laremy Tunsil.
Offensively, Elijah Moore had a breakout game for the Jets, hauling in two 19-yard touchdown passes and finishing with a career-best 84 yards, and Engram grabbed a touchdown pass for the second consecutive week. On the other side of the ball, D.J. Jones recorded a career-high eight tackles, and A.J. Moore forced a fumble on special teams.
Overall, 14 of them played in Week 9 of the 2021 regular season. Here's a rundown of how each NFL Rebel performed:
#25 Brandon Bolden | RB | New England Patriots
Ran for 54 yards on eight carries and added two receptions for 27 yards in the Patriots' 24-6 win over the Panthers.
#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Tennessee Titans
Led the Titans in receiving, catching five passes for 42 yards as the Titans won its fifth straight game, taking down the Rams, 28-16, on Sunday Night Football.
#88 Evan Engram | TE | New York Giants
Caught a touchdown pass for the second straight game, hauling in a 30-yard pass from Daniel Jones in the Giants' 23-16 win over the Randers. Engram finished with three receptions for 38 yards.
#38 Myles Hartsfield | DB | Carolina Panthers
Returned from the IR and got the starting nod at defensive back. Hartsfield totaled three tackles in the 24-6 loss to the Patriots.
#98 Marquis Haynes | DE | Carolina Panthers
Appeared on six snaps between defense and special teams in the 24-6 loss to the Patriots.
#21 Mike Hilton | CB | Cincinnati Bengals
Notched two tackles, including one for a loss, in the Bengals' 41-16 loss to the Browns.
#93 D.J. Jones | DT | San Francisco 49ers
Tallied a career-high eight tackles, including one for a three-yard loss, in the 31-17 loss to the Cardinals.
#88 Dawson Knox | TE | Buffalo Bills
Was listed as inactive in the Bills Week 9 matchup with a hand injury.
#75 Greg Little | OT | Miami Dolphins
Was listed as inactive in the Dolphins Week 9 matchup.
#70 Bobby Massie | OT | Denver Broncos
Started at right tackle and played 27 snaps before going down with an ankle injury in the 30-16 win over the Cowboys.
#14 D.K. Metcalf | WR | Seattle Seahawks
Metcalf and the Seahawks were on a bye.
#33 A.J. Moore | S | Houston Texans
Forced a fumble on special teams, setting up a Texans scoring drive in the 17-9 loss to the Dolphins.
#38 C.J. Moore | S | Detroit Lions
Moore and the Lions were on a bye.

Had the best game of his young career, shining in the national spotlight on Thursday Night Football. Moore led the Jets in receiving with seven catches for 84 yards, including a pair of 19-yard touchdowns, in the 45-30 loss to the Colts.
#70 Royce Newman | OL | Green Bay Packers
Started and played all 63 offensive snaps in the 13-7 loss to the Chiefs.
#92 Robert Nkemdiche | DL | Seattle Seahawks
Nkemdiche and the Seahawks were on a bye.
#27 Scottie Phillips | RB | Houston Texans
Ran the ball one time for two yards and appeared on seven snaps on special teams in the 17-9 loss.
#18 Laquon Treadwell | WR | Jacksonville Jaguars
Started at wide receiver, playing 30 percent of the Jaguars' offensive snaps in the 9-6 win over the Bills.
