Zadori Earns First Tennis Individual Honor of 2021
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss' Reka Zadori was voted SEC Women's Tennis Co-Freshman of the Week on Wednesday.
Zadori had a stellar weekend for the Rebels versus the North Alabama Lions. She competed in two singles matches, winning one with the second unfinished.
Zadori defeated The Lions' Kalais Going 6-1, 6-1. Prior to the match, Going had won six of her previous nine dual singles matches and was 2-2 this season. Zadori competed at No. 5 singles for the first time this season. She earned her second career dual victory in strong fashion, helping to secure a 7-0 sweep for Ole Miss.
Zadori's match versus Lee-Taylor Bishop was stopped short due to the Rebels clinching the match 4-0. She held a 3-1 lead up one set to Bishop.
Zadori was named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week alongside Mississippi State's Chloé Cirotte.
Ole Miss improved to 4-2 this season. The Rebels compete next at Arkansas on Saturday.
