Rebels Set to Make Third Straight Appearance at NCAA Championship

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The fifth-ranked Ole Miss women's golf team will make its third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship this weekend as the Rebels are set to begin championship play Friday morning at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
 
The 132-person field is comprised of 24 teams. Additionally, 12 women not on those already qualified teams will compete with the field for the individual championship.
 
Players will first compete in three 18-hole rounds of stroke play competition Friday through Sunday. Following the third round, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and top nine individuals not on an advancing team for Monday. 
 
Monday's fourth round of stroke play will take place, at which point the individual national champion will be crowned. Also following the fourth round, the field will be cut to the top eight teams to move on to the match play bracket beginning Tuesday, which will be seeded in order of finish in stroke play.
 
A knockout match play competition will then take place to determine the team national champion. Quarterfinal and semifinal match play rounds will be held Tuesday, May 25, with the Championship to be on Wednesday, May 26.
 
GOLF Channel will provide live coverage for the final three days of the championships. Coverage will feature individual stroke play national championship and the team match play semifinals and finals.
