Men’s Tennis to Host NCAA Regional, Face Belmont in First Round

Rebels Receive No. 15 Overall Seed in NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – Ole Miss men's tennis earned an at-large bid as the No. 15 overall seed in the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships on Monday. The Rebels will host first and second round regional matches in Oxford on Saturday and Sunday, with Ole Miss set to face Ohio Valley Conference champion Belmont in first round action on Saturday, May 8, at approximately 3 p.m. CT.
 
Ole Miss extended its current postseason streak to 27 consecutive NCAA Championship bids and has reached its 29th total NCAA Championship in program history. This is the sixth tournament appearance for the Rebels under head coach Toby Hansson.
 
Ole Miss last hosted NCAA regional competition in 2015.
 
"We are very excited for the opportunity to host in front of our fans. The team earned this," Hansson said. "Belmont has had a great year, and we have to prepare to be our best for Saturday."
 
Also competing in the Ole Miss regional will be Middle Tennessee State and Tulane. The Blue Raiders take on the Green Wave at noon CT on Saturday prior to the Rebels facing the Bruins at approximately 3 p.m. CT.
 
Ole Miss last competed in the NCAA Championships at UCLA in 2019, falling in the first round to Oklahoma State.

Match 2: Belmont vs. #15 Ole Miss, 3 p.m. CT (approximately)

Regional Championship Match:  Middle Tennessee/Tulane vs. Belmont/#15 Ole Miss, 1 p.m. CT
