Ole Miss Women’s Tennis Receives 21st NCAA Championships Bid

Rebels to Compete in First Round Regional Action on Friday versus North Florida
INDIANAPOLIS – Ole Miss women's tennis received an at-large bid into the NCAA Team Championships on Monday. The Rebels will face North Florida in the first round at host site No. 13 Georgia Tech in Atlanta on Friday, May 7.
Ole Miss has reached the NCAA Championships for the 21st time in program history and 13th time under head coach Mark Beyers. The Rebels last competed in the NCAA Championships in 2018, reaching the Sweet 16 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Ole Miss enters the NCAA tournament with an 11-9 overall record and 7-6 record in SEC play. The Rebels are one of 13 SEC women's tennis programs to make the NCAA Championships.
The unseeded Rebels rank No. 24 in the latest Oracle/ITA rankings (April 28). If Ole Miss defeats North Florida on Saturday, the Rebels will face the winner of No. 13 Georgia Tech and Georgia Southern in the regional championship match on Sunday.
North Florida earned an automatic bid to the 64-team competition by winning the ASUN tournament. The Ospreys enter the NCAA Championship with a 17-7 overall record and an undefeated 8-0 conference record this season.
Match times will be determined at a future date. Under tournament guidelines, all matches must start between 9 a.m. CT and 6 p.m. CT on Saturday and Sunday.
