Reynolds and Sandkaulen Ranked No. 1 in the Nation in Final Oracle/ITA Poll

Finn Reynolds and Tim Sandkaulen Earn No. 1 Ranking Across Final 11 Weeks of 2021 Season
TEMPE, Ariz. – Ole Miss men's tennis finished the 2021 spring season atop the doubles leaderboard as Finn Reynolds and Tim Sandkaulen held the No. 1 ranking in the ultimate Oracle/ITA individual polls released on Wednesday. Men's tennis also earned three top-50 rankings in singles and Rebels women's tennis earned two rankings in both singles and doubles.
Reynolds and Sandkaulen can add another achievement to their 2021 season, finishing the year as the No. 1 ranked doubles team in the country. The duo started the season ranked No. 7 in the preseason poll and have held the top spot in every poll since the preseason rankings beginning on March 24. The Rebels' No. 1 doubles team maintained the No. 1 ranking across the final seven polls of the season and finished the year with 61.947 points on the computerized scale, besting No. 2 Alastair Gray and Luc Fomba of TCU by 2.69 points. Reynolds and Sandkaulen compiled a 16-3 overall record this season, were 8-2 versus ranked opponents, 7-1 in SEC competition and received the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Doubles Championships.
In singles, the Rebels concluded the season with three student-athletes ranked in the ITA top 50. Reynolds finishes the 2020-21 season ranked No. 17 in the country, followed by Nikola Slavic at No. 33 and Sandkaulen at No. 41. Only Sandkaulen was ranked in the preseason rankings, and no Rebels ranked in the top 50 to begin the year. All three ranked Rebels competed in the NCAA Singles Championships.
Ole Miss women's tennis placed two Rebels in final 2021 singles rankings, Sabina Machalova at No. 42 and Tiphanie Fiquet at No. 95. Machalova represented the Rebels in the NCAA Singles Championships and has ranked in the top 50 all year.
Women's tennis also had two teams end the season among the 90 duos to receive rankings in doubles. Alexa Bortles and Anna Vrbenska finished inside the top 50 at No. 43 and Bortles and Machalova received the No. 87 ranking.
