Anaëlle Leclercq-Ficher Added to Women’s Tennis Roster

ITF Top 100 Junior Comes to Oxford by way of La Perche, France

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women's tennis welcomes Anaëlle Leclercq-Ficher as the third student-athlete of the Rebels' 2021 signing class. Leclerq-Ficher currently ranks No. 83 in the ITF Junior Rankings.
 
Leclerq-Ficher has been very successful in international junior tournaments, especially in doubles. She has competed in three Junior Grand Slam events as an amateur, twice in the main draw of the French Open (including 2021) and in Wimbledon qualifying. In 2021, Leclerq-Ficher has won two junior doubles tournaments, the J1 Salinas in Ecuador and J2 Oberpullendorf in Austria. She has additionally earned victories in her career at the J2 Nequen in Argentina, J3 Irpin and J3 Kyiv in Ukraine, J4 Beer Sheva in Israel and J4 Clermont-Ferrand in France. She is a two-time French national champion in doubles at the U12 and U13 levels. Leclerq-Ficher has a career-high junior ranking of No. 52 in the world and ranking of No. 60 among French women. She is currently ranked as the No. 4 French junior player.
 
Leclerq-Ficher has also represented her nation on numerous occasions. Notably, she helped France place runner-up at the 2017 U14 Europa Cup in San Remo, Italy. She was 3-0 in doubles in the tournament, defeating teams from Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Ukraine. She also competed for France at the 2019 Junior Fed Cup in Orlando, Florida. Leclerq-Ficher went undefeated in round robin doubles play earning victories over the Czech Republic, Argentina and China P.R. France placed fifth overall in the competition out of 16 participating nations.
 
Leclerq-Ficher graduated with honors from CNED Rennes in 2021. Both her parents were professional athletes in France; her mother, Katty Ficher in the high jump and her father, Cyril Leclercq in equestrian.
