Women’s Cross Country No. 14, Men No. 16 in Week One USTFCCCA National Rankings

Rebels in Action This Friday at North Alabama
NEW ORLEANS – Ole Miss women's cross country moved up one spot to No. 14 while the Rebel men jumped two positions to No. 16 in the Week One USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll released on Tuesday.
This is the 29th time both Ole Miss squads have been ranked simultaneously, as well as the fifth in a row dating back to the end of the 2020 season. The No. 14 ranking for the Rebel women builds upon their preseason slot of No. 15 and stands as their highest overall since Week Three of the 2019 season.
This is the fifth straight appearance in the national poll for the Ole Miss women, who have now appeared in the USTFCCCA poll 30 times in their history. Ole Miss has at least been receiving votes in 22 of the last 23 women's polls dating back to 2018 and 39 of the last 42 back to 2016.
Meanwhile, this is the 47th total appearance for the Rebel men and their 41st in a row dating back to the 2016 preseason. Additionally, Ole Miss has ranked in 47 of the last 50 going back to 2014 and have at least received votes in 50 of the last 52 also back to 2014. The Rebel men are in the midst of an even better streak as well, as this week constitutes their 19th consecutive appearance within the top-20 of the national poll.
Ole Miss opened the 2021 season two weeks ago with a women's team win and men third-place finish at the Memphis Twilight. Both Rebel units are back in action this week, with Ole Miss traveling to Huntsville for a preview of the NCAA South Regional course at the North Alabama Showcase. Competition starts early Friday morning (Sept. 17) at 7:30 a.m. CT.
